Though we are still early in the season, there is great, green reason to continue celebrating our growing grass. On Monday I was out in the yard for the first time this year doing some lawn work. But also for the first time, I was not alone battling surface earth.
We began the man-cultivation last summer and now the Calvinator is ready to get his hands dirty. I realize these are normally the kind of pictures you’d expect on hobbsandbean, but I got special permission to post these pics on the void due to their earthy nature. These are also the first blogged pictures from Mo’s new digital SLR, but I’ll let her tell you more about that. For now, enjoy the green:

And what good is yard work without tools?

Cleaning up is always cuter when you add Maggie and put Calvin in the wheelbarrow.

sheer awesomeness. very cute.
The yard looks good. I thought when you said Calvinator that you said the Cultivator. Well he is your son and I suppose that works then. Mo is going to love her camera.
I must admit I am very jealous. It’s snowing right now in Ohio. We have a saying: if you don’t like the weather, wait five minutes. I guess spring hasn’t arrived in the eastern US yet.
