We made it to Ohio. In fact, we arrived at my mom’s house a little after 2:30EST Saturday morning. All told we spent around forty or forty-one hours in the van together and there was much joy in the process:
- We enjoyed travelling with Kim Weinberg. She was great help and good for much “keeping-you-awake” conversation.
- We enjoyed the slide pools in Sioux Falls, SD. Of course, part of the reason we enjoyed the pool so much is because once we were there Maggie finally stopped asking about it.
- We enjoyed a few minutes at Wall Drug. Actually, Wall Drug itself is not that exciting, but as Mo’s brother stated well, once you’ve been on I-90 that long anything different is interesting.
- We enjoyed the consistent hospitality of Ronald McDonald, even if it was like five times.
- We really enjoyed visiting with the Clelands who live right outside of Chicago. This was sort of a spontaneous stop, but well worth it.
- We enjoyed that Calvin only screamed a little.
- We enjoyed getting to our destination!
Today we woke up late, shared some coffee and conversation with my mom, and enjoyed not travelling. The camp starts tomorrow night and we probably won’t have internet access until next Friday, so we’ll see you then. In the meantime, check out the Intern’s blog and the newly integrated Google calendar goodness at the one28 site.

Thanks for keeping us posted! I’m glad to hear you’re enjoying the process, even the process of the Golden Arches.
I’m so glad you guys are having a good time. And the google cal is oh so glorious… in a temporal way.
You officially have me jealous. I enjoy car rides, but soon I’m going to be on a plane for 5 hours. Loads of fun.
Thank God for a joyful trip! I’m glad everyone made it there alright.
Though… man… 5 times? Your bowels will not thank you for that. (I know mine didn’t yesterday. :-S )
