On Sunday we celebrated our 5th anniversary at Grace Bible Church. We were joyfully surprised in big church and then by the students and staff of one28. You can read a little bit about the behind the scenes scheming over at the Lover by Blood’s blog, and if you scroll down near the end of that post you can watch the video and slide show put together by JMart, TK, and the Intern. There were many gracious words spoken by Kimberly, Mrs. B., DG, and the Inquisitor. In fact, the Inquisitor even wrote a song for the occasion full of anniversary sappiness. From what I understand KDW and SAZ worked on the great scrapbook full of pictures taken by JMart who travelled to all the small groups via the Cretis bus. There were many more staff and students (some of you can’t hide behind biz-exchange) who gave time and money to shower us with gifts and love.
We were not only surprised but overwhelmed by the kindness. What’s more, we cannot take any of the credit for spiritual growth of individuals or in the ministry over the last five years. God has been — and I trust will be — faithful to provide enough fruit to keep us thankful but not so much that we might get full of ourselves. I pray that He would continue to cause my love to abound still more and more for Him and that everyone in one28 would move more toward completeness in Christ.
The family and I leave (along with KDW) in less than two hours for our trip to Ohio. Now that I mention it, I’m not exactly sure why I’m blogging instead of packing. Anyway, if you think about it, please pray for the preaching of the Word and that many affections would be provoked for Christ.

Thank you once again for being faithful to your God, your family, and your flock over the last five years here at Grace Bible Church. I count it a blessing to know you and your family. May the Lord Jesus Christ continue to use you in the years to come.
That sure was fun. Of course I could barely sing the song cause I was laughing so hard. Thanks for all you do in the ministry.
I second what Micah said.
