It’s been too long since I’ve linked to my good friend Dave Cleland. He’s written some classic blogs about student ministry over the past few weeks and I wanted to point you to them if you’re not already a regular reader of Some Words from Dave.
Here’s a beauty on the vanity of youth (and I don’t mean vanity like Solomon does) titled, Go Look up Narcissistic
And then Dave just recently began a series on the things he’s learned in five years of full time youth ministry. These posts are plain, provoking, poignant, and spot on. The first lesson he shares is that teenagers reflect the priorities of their parents. Today he posted part two concerning how we’ve got it backwards when it comes to teaching kids useful knowledge.
Now if we could only get him to explain his choice of a profile pic! I think this one of him snowboarding is way cooler.
