Tuesday morning at 4:30AM Chuck Weinberg and I left Marysville on our way to Clovis, NM where we delivered a 5,000lb. granite monument for the Soldier of the Year.
We started in Marysville, dropped off a few memorials in Coeur d’Alene, ID, drove to Billings, then down to Denver, then to Las Vegas (New Mexico), and then over to Clovis (approximately 9 miles from the Texas border). On the way back we went through Albuquerque and Gallop, then through Green River and Salt Lake City, then through Boise and then arrived back to Marysville via Seattle at 4:15PM Thursday afternoon. For those of you keeping score at home, we travelled just over 3,600 miles in under 60 hours.
As you correctly suspect, our trip explains the lack of blogging from me this week. For those of you who are geographically challenged, the map below is a rough representation of the terrain we travelled (thanks to Google Earth).
