As many of you know, I started to read and preach from the English Standard Version over a year ago. While there are still some places where I prefer the New American Standard, I have decided to make the switch complete.
There is a good (if not over the top) introduction to the ESV you can read from John Piper.
The ESV also has a web-site where you can get all kinds of information about it, and the entire text is available to read on line.
There is also an ESV blog (I’ve got it in my blogroll to the right). Today they put up an introductory video including thoughts from Piper, Al Mohler, J.I. Packer, Wayne Grudem, and others. It is about 14 minutes and is a decent initiation into the differences between a dynamic equivalence paraphrase and an essentially literal translation.
They even gave a shout-out to Tyndale. I think I’m going to go read mine right now.

nice. The video is actually really cool. I enjoyed it.
Thanks, TK, for all the comments. Always encouraging to get the feedback from the reading remnant.
Swhy I’m here, my friend. Swhy I’m here.
